2011 - Comet Scoops Another Gold RoSPA Award!
Our Health and Safety team have won a fifth Gold RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) Award for Occupational Health and Safety, which proves we are committed to protecting the health and well being of our colleagues, customers and visitors.
This is the 6th prestigious occupational Health and Safety award we have won in the last six years!
The Gold award will be presented at a ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, at the National Exhibition Centre, on Thursday, May 19, 2011.
The Awards have been running since 1956, and champion excellence in work-related health and safety performance in private and public sector organisations.
2010 - Best Corporate Prepaid Programme at the Pre Paid Awards 2010, for the prepaid mobile phone based SMS voucher has been won by the “Doing Business at Comet” team.
2010 - Retail Systems Awards - Supply Chain Solution of the Year
2010 - Skills Development Award from Job Centre Plus (Yorkshire and Humber region) has been won by Comet's CIC Training Team in Hull.

Comet was highly commended in this category for our introduction of a number of measures that have had a significant impact on the energy and environmental impact of our road operations.
2007 - National Training Awards, Regional Training Award
Comet won this award for its hugely successful e-Learning programme that has seen 70,000 training modules completed by 2,700 colleague since July 2005.

2005 – Best Partnership Project for Recycling at The National Recycling Awards.
Comet won the award for its work with logistics partner Wincanton and social enterprise organisation Remploy to align take-back with its reverse supply chain in preparation for the introduction of the WEEE directive in 2007. The project produced such impressive results that the judges selected it as the Best Partnership Project winner.

Awards for the most improved call centre. Demonstrated significant improvements in telephony standards and high levels of staff development and training to ensure customers were given very high levels of customer service
